New Project – The Children’s Room

Victoria City Council awards grant to restore children’s bedroom

If you have been to the Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum, you will have observed that the restoration of children’s bedroom is incomplete. That is about to change. We are pleased to announce that Victoria City Council has approved our application for a Strategic Plan Grant in the amount of $7,500 that will enable us to restore the children’s bedroom and to develop a pilot program to engage children in the history of the Villa. The Ross Bay Villa Society thanks Victoria City Council for approving our grant application. Ross Bay Villa Society has received $7,500 for the restoration of the children’s bedroom.

This is an exciting opportunity for volunteers. Under the guidance of experts, volunteers will be creating period appropriate wall paper and flooring as part of the restoration project. We will develop a program to engage children in the history of early Victoria.
