Award of Merit!

On May 6, 2014, at the historic Auditorium at St. Ann’s Academy, the Ross Bay Villa Society was one of the winners of an “Award of Merit” from the Hallmark Heritage Society.

This prestigious Award “for the meticulous restoration of 1490 Fairfield Road” [Ross Bay Villa] was accepted by president Simone Vogel-Horridge and other Board Members.

It was wonderful to receive this award in recognition of 14 years of volunteer-led restoration of the 1865 house, the home of Francis J. Roscoe and his family.

Thank you to the Hallmark Heritage Society for the Award; and to all of the volunteers who, over the years, made this award possible.

The presentation was later restaged on the front porch of Ross Bay Villa with the Board of the Society and many volunteers. Janet Stevens from the Hallmark Heritage Society reprised her role as the presenter of the Award.
